South Downs Explorers MTB Series
This spring and summer join Marmalade MTB in exploring and discovering the South Downs National Park from the saddle of your mountain bike. Kicking off in May the series of sociable monthly guided rides will deliver the best mountain biking across the South Downs. Check out the rides below.
#1 Birling-Gap Bash
The South Downs Explorers series kicks-offs with rolling trails towards cliff top sea views, undulating climbs before endless descents and weaving woodland singletrack. Starting at the far eastern end of the national park with this cracking ride is the perfect introduction to mountain biking on the South Downs.
#2 Tour de Rings
#3 Findon Flyer
#4 Slindon Shred
The penultimate mountain bike ride of this series, is all about exploring the ancient downland and woodland trails of the Slindon estate and beyond. We will climb to see epic sea views before rattling down Roman roads and enjoying the quintessential Sussex country-side and the customary pub lunch.
Wrapping up our summer series of South Downs guided rides, we mesh together what this national park does best. With the Goodwood Estate at the heart of the route, this really is cross-country mountain biking at its best. This part of the South Downs serves up challenging long climbs and flat out descents with the usual epic views as we explore Kingley Vale and the open downland from Cocking.
